About mark williamson:
I am a native English speaker and a U.K. citizen with a M.A. Degree and a CELTA with extensive teaching experience in Russia, Japan, Myanmar and Uzbekistan, as well as a European Computer Driving Licence.
Currently, I mainly teach teenage students and mature students preparing for IELTS as well as General English classes at Intermediate and Advanced levels both through Zoom and in large classroom groups, while in Russia I focussed on coaching for State and Cambridge examinations,. I am continually looking for ways to develop my skills and experience, which is why I was attracted to the advertised position. Additionally, there is the opportunity to work in Jordan, one of many Islamic and Arabic countries which I have visited. .
As a mature, confident, dedicated and flexible teacher with eleven years experience, I am interested in positions which offer the satisfaction of making a difference to the lives of students and the chance to expand my teaching skills and build on my existing success. I have established good relationships with students A1 to C1, from the ages of three to ninety-three, both individually and in groups. In addition, I have taught both general and legal English classes for non-governmental organisations and businesses including airlines. Throughout my career I have received highly favourable feedback from students, colleagues and line managers on the high quality of my teaching and course materials, and on the support and ideas I supply to fellow teachers.
I am experienced in planning and directing lessons, generating additional course materials, counselling adults, writing reports and conducting tests and training. I supplement course books with a wide range of educative and enjoyable activities, many of my own creation, and audio-visual media which have proved useful to colleagues. I have also been active in promoting schools I have worked for through outreach activities including a weekly English lesson on Instagram and demonstration lessons in local state schools.
I am confident, highly self-motivated and skilful when liaising with parents and prospective students drawing upon my extensive customer service and managerial experience. Furthermore, I have a responsible and mature attitude to not only my work but also to living and working abroad and I welcome the chance to learn from other countries and cultures.
I hope you find my application to be of interest and I look forward to hearing from you.
